Job News!!!

Okay we have good news but I'm going crazy with it! Dave's interview went well today and he already has a 2nd interview with Heidi (his former boss and potential new boss) and her boss David which Dave already knows because he was also there when Dave was. And we will know by this Monday if he gets it. So we'll keep you posted and let you know ASAP!!! We're both so excited, nervous and anxious and very hopeful!! Dave could possibly have a job by the time the boys and I come down in February, it's so exciting and nerve-wracking at the same time! It's so hard to think that they are even interviewing other people, but we don't know anything about them and I told Dave that no matter what they think they pry still have to go through all the technicalities and make it fair for everyone to have a shot. But of course we are hoping and praying that the job is meant for him! Anyway, it's hard for me to relax right now. My mind is going a mile a minute, I'm sure I'll be just the same on Thursday at 2:15 p.m. when his next interview is and then maybe I can relax at least a little. Who am I kidding!?!? I won't be able to really relax until we hear the news Monday. We'll talk with you all soon. We hope you are having a great week!

P.S. I'm thinking the boys and I might come down Valentine's weekend, either Fri. or probably Thurs afternoon when preschool gets out.

Sledding January 16th!

Finally, here is our sledding from a week ago. Our pass for RMNP expires in February so we thought since Dave currently has time to go up during the week, that we would take a little trip up to the mountain to see what the sledding was like and have some fun with the boys, especially since they've been cooped up quite a bit lately. We all had a great time and thankfully there was just enough snow to be able to follow through with our plans. As you can see in some of the pics and video there is some visible dirt. Hopefully we can go up again in March maybe, if not Feb. and there will be more. We were glad we got to do it anyhow and then we had a nice lunch in Estes before heading back home. The boys can't wait to go again! Thanks Santa for the sled and the fact that I found long underwear for the boys too! ;) And we were also fortunate to see a nice herd of deer too on the way out of the park! Hope you enjoy!

Great News!

Hi all!

Some of you know already but for those of you who don't....Dave has an interview this coming Tuesday to possibly get his former job at First National Bank again!!! It's very exciting! I just hope we are not getting are hopes up too high but we just can't help it. It's for the commercial loan underwriter position which is the last job he had when he was at FNB, so we already know he's well qualified for the position, they wouldn't have to train him but just catch him up on any changes that have happened in the last 4 years. And he would have the same boss that he had before and she is who he has his interview with. And one of the other sort of funny, weird, full circle things is that he would be replacing the girl who replaced him when he left. So we are very hopeful and praying that he will be the one to get the job since we think he already has quite an advantage! It's next Tues. the 27th at 1 p.m. So please send your most positive thoughts and prayers, we greatly appreciate them! We'll let you know anything as soon as we hear. Thanks so much! New Blog Layout!

Well, I hope you all are having a great day! I just had to point out that I was finally able to get a free blog layout from another website and I am loving it! I will probably go back to that site in a week or so and get a different one, I am so happy to have some more options and layouts that make our blog feel more cozy and not so empty. Thanks again Jamie for having used Leelou's blog site and a link on your own blog, that's the first site I was finally able to access a free layout and understand the instructions to be able to do it! Birthday with Nana and Papo!

Okay, here is the second half of Brendan's birthday which we celebrated with Nana and Papo! Talk about a spoiled grandchild! And we also had lunch out to eat with Grandma and Grandpa McCall the week we came back from Pueblo for Brendan's birthday. These pics are at Nana and Papo's house, it was definitely a Lightning McQueen sort of birthday all around! The picture with the card is from cousin Amy, our pilot. Great card Amy, thanks! And the last pic is of the boys playing musical chairs (or pillows in their case). They had a lot of fun doing that and they got a few little prizes (stencils, tiny card games, etc.) when they won. Brendan had an amazing birthday and we have our family to thank for that! Thank you all for helping make it a special one, I know he really had lots of fun! We all did.

That is Brendan asleep while Carter and I opened his bday presents. We could not wake him up! We'll probably never let him forget that. ;)

Happy 5th Birthday Brendan....and Merry Christmas too!

Hi all! Here is another set of pictures for you to enjoy! These are Christmas with my Dad, Sue, Keith and Amanda as well as the first half of Brendan's 5th birthday in which he was spoiled by Grandparents! ;) Jon got his present before he went back up to Springs. The first pic is his birthday pic I took that morning, he looks so big it's hard to believe! We even went to check out a school the other night to decide on where he'll go for Kindergarten. I'm so excited for that but I know I'll be teary too. And for those of you who don't know the boys also got to feed the chickens at Dad and Sue's and collect eggs. So that's what the pics outside are, one of them being chickens in the chicken coop. I have copies of the first two for all of you grandparents, so remind me when you see me. And Dad, Sue, Mom and Vic....I will get them to you hopefully in Feb. I am thinking about making a short trip down with the boys so I can pick up cookies from Amanda as well as drop off clothes I have for Kristen and hopefully I'll get to see her new little baby too. An Interview!!!!

Hello everyone!

Please send Dave your positive thoughts and prayers on Tuesday the 20th at 9:30 am. That's when he has his first interview since November and it's for a Personal Banker position with Well's Fargo. He got a call from them this morning for that and so he is excited of course. And it keeps us very hopefull since he finally got another interview. That's really all I have for you right now, of course we will keep you updated and let you know how it goes! Thanks so much for keeping us in your thoughts and prayers. We Love You all!

P.S. Okay so I do have a bit more....

Dave just got off the phone with someone who does business with First National Bank and he heard that they might be looking for an underwriter soon. Dave is going to call Heidi (his former boss) tomorrow to see if there is a chance he could get an interview to get his former job as underwriter again. He could call her right now but he needs to process the information and get used to the thought that he could possibly get the same job back that he left in Jan. of 2005 before he became an insurance agent with Northwestern Mutual. It is sort of weird to think that could happen but he is open to it and the good thing is that we already know what benefits he would get. So again, we'll let you know ASAP! Thanks for thinking of us!

First set of Christmas pics! Sorry no birthday pics for Dave and I though.

Well, here are the first batch of pictures we have for Christmas. We don't have any from our birthday game night we had with friends because even with good intentions I totally spaced the camera. These are Christmas morning with the boys when they woke up and then with Mel and Joyce after brunch. I amazingly, was awake and up before Brendan. I could not believe it, we actually had to wake him up! And Shadow had fun too, she got some new catnip for her mouse toy. Hope you enjoy and I'll get another batch up later today or tomorrow.

Okay, so we haven't put anything up for a while. My pure laziness. And now I'm tired so I will put some pictures up that we have from Christmas and Brendan's birthday tomorrow. Sorry about the slacking. I've been getting the house back to normal, cleaning and organizing. Dave is still on the job hunt. He actually got a call from Wells Fargo and did a phone interview with them. They told him that now that he's done that he'll just have to wait and hopefully get a call from a local branch that is interested in him. That's the first of any sort of contact from anyone since November, so that's encouraging! Anyway, better get to bed so I have enough energy to get more things crossed off on my to do list.
