2. I was on Judge Joe about 8/9 years ago, long story.

Late fireworks at Grandma and Grandpa's house

We finally got to light our little stash of fireworks I bought on the 4th and since we can't do it at our condos we went to Grandma and Grandpa's house. We tried to do this just over a week ago but then we had to come home early because Brendan's ear started hurting real bad but he was all better the next morning. Today was such a nice day and I wanted to use them before July is over so we did it, had some fun and took some pics of them and of Grandma and Grandpa which are on the side of the page.

Sleeping Arrangements

So, a couple of you know that about two months or so ago I moved Carter into Brendan's room to share so that I could have a massage room again. Well, that did not work out too well. Most nights were fine but we realized that Brendan is not quite ready to be sleeping in the same room with anyone. If Brendan woke up first most of the time he would also wake up Carter, even though we kept telling him to just quietly go downstairs and play without turning his main light on. And if Brendan actually slept good, Carter would be the one to wake up too early, therefor also waking brother. So since nobody (Mommy and Daddy included) was getting all the sleep they needed and I don't currently have enough clients to keep a room set up I switched them back a few days ago. Ever since then my boys are doing better, especially Carter. Brendan, hopefully only for the time being is a morning person, if he ever sleeps in when he gets older you will not hear me complain. Unless of course something changes when I get older and I wake up early without an alarm and can't get back to sleep, then I'll just go bother him! =) But if I'm nice and I don't bother him I know that someday if he has kids they'll do the same thing he did, it would certainly be in their genes. I truly believe we all have the loved ones and people in our lives that we do because they can teach us what we need to learn most and even though I have become a lot more patient in some areas of my life, I know that I have a lot more to learn and my kids are teaching me more about patience than I ever cared to know.

Our Holiday Weekend

Here are some pictures from the 4th and our mini vaca to South Dakota for John and Elise's wedding BBQ. We ended up trying a place in Custer, SD for an early dinner after we visited the Flintstones. Cattleman's on Mount Rushmore Rd had very good food! So if you're passing through Custer that's our recommendation. Have a great week everyone!

Happy 4th! And we're off!

Well we hope everyone had a fun fourth of July! We had more fun once we got to the park and I wasn't thinking about packing for our trip to South Dakota for John's (longtime friend of Dave's) wedding reception. And now that I have almost all our things packed I thought I'd put a little post up since I haven't in awhile and then I'll add pictures of today and the next couple days when we get back and tell you how our mini vacation went! Now I'm very excited and really exhausted so I'm getting to bed so I can function well tomorrow. Happy Holiday weekend to you all. We love you! Be safe!
